Welcome!

I created this blog originally to keep friends and family updated with my life away from "home". A place to write down my thoughts and life events, maybe even some beauty blogging who knows!

"The longer I live, the more I realize the inpact of attitude on life. Attitue, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than crcumstances, than failure, than successe, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than apperance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regardunf the attitude we will embrace for that day. we cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes" - Charles R. Swindoll

No more car till Italy :(

So it's been a couple days since I've been home since my little trip to drop off our car at the port and I must say it kinda sucks being car-less... It's not like I do much anyways but still. Well I caugh up on seef from jet lag and I still have yet to call a few friends to let them know I'm back and set up days to hang out. Right now I'm just procrastinating on writting a paper for my Comm215 class (I still think the teacher is a crack head...what teacher doesn't look over the syllabs during the class week and pretend she doesn't know what students are talking about when they ask questions. I mean seriously!)

Anywho, I did had some fun catching up with my big brother. Haha it's pretty funny to see how much of a workaholic he really is! He work up at 7am each day I was there to work on stuff for work (might I add, he's working on his days off) and they are kicking him off the work server and everything, and then he still wanted to take his laptop every where we went! I love my bother and he is a hard worker but hr really just needs to relax on his days off!
My big brother and I driving around "SoCal"

We did have some fun though. He took me to Huntington Beach and on the peir there's this resturant called Ruby's and oh my goodness the have the best cherry coke ever!!! They even put maricheno cherries in my cherry coke! We even went to Hollywood and we saw them setting everything up for the Oscars infrom of the Chinese Theater, it was pretty neat.

On the peir off of Huntington Beach...
(damn, I've gained some marriage weight :/ I need to go buy some workout vedios!)

Now I'm just sitting at home thinking about everything. I'm trying to not waste anytime spending time with friends and family. Just about 25 days till my love comes home and about 39 days till Italy... Just the thought of it being so close makes me kinda excited and scared at the same time. I feel like I don't have enough time to get things done! EEK!!! Oh how time passes us by...

Drive to Cali

So yesterday was such a long drive to Cali (or as my brother says "So Cal")! We got here super late last night and as we were driving I saw out beautiful Utah mountians! I forgot how beautiful they were, but now that I am leaving soon I finally took an actuall look at them.

not the acutal ones I saw cause I was driving but you get the point.

But it was quite a nice drive. My brother tried to get me to listen to House music that's mixed with a little Jazz, but I couldn't get into it, his music sounded more like elevator music than anything lol (sorry, J). But on the way down my brother say, "Are you sure you want to go? It's not too late..." Haha what a punk! He kept joking that would be funny if after I dropped the car off at the port, I changed my mind. Lol I think it's a little too late in the game if I was to change my mind now right.

Anywho I woke up this morning and got ready, while my brother was on his computer working away even though he took time off, and decided to take a step out on his porch and this is what I saw....

It's soo nice and beautif out! Today we are gonna go sight seeing and pick his car up from the airport. Hopefully we can hit up the beach; he was also talking about going into LA and walking the walk of stars. Until later, your traveling friend, Jaynon

The Start Of A New Adventure!

So a few weeks ago I was out with a couple of my girls, Tierney and Jodi, and they both kept on mentioning all night that I needed to start a blog and keep up with it while I'm in Italy for the next 3 years. Well here I am, I finally gave in to it!

At the Tavernacle with Jodi and Tierney
Girls night that they we telling me I need to start a blog :)
We had a pretty fun night too!

I actually thought about doing one for a bit now but I never really had anything to really write about for the past year except that I got married, and then my husband Nathan left to go to Korea, and I had to stay behind. Not really interesting unless you wanna hear all the drama of my boring life right? Well it's about to be not so boring any more because Nathan got orders to Italy after he is done in Korea, and I am now only a month and a half a way from getting on the plane and leaving my friends and family behind. There are so many emotions I am going through right now, don't get me wrong I am super excited that Nate and I finally get to start our life together, but I'm sad and scared because I'm going to be thousands of miles away from friends and family. It's not like I can hope in my car and drive 20 minutes to see them when I get home sick. I guess it just a part of growing up and living a military life, kinda sucks in a way but there will be great new experiences to come!
