Welcome!

I created this blog originally to keep friends and family updated with my life away from "home". A place to write down my thoughts and life events, maybe even some beauty blogging who knows!

"The longer I live, the more I realize the inpact of attitude on life. Attitue, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than crcumstances, than failure, than successe, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than apperance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regardunf the attitude we will embrace for that day. we cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes" - Charles R. Swindoll

I'm such a slacker...

Gee wiz, it's been sometime now since I have actually had some time and something to actually write about. So much as happened since my last post! It was last January that I posted so lets do a little update...

Last year was filled with Nate being away and me become a "Key Spouse" for his squadron. Which is kinda like a person that helps out new spouse with the military lifestyle. We also went back state side to visit family last October. We got to see Nate's parents new house in Cali, saw my mom and dad in Utah, and reconnected with some of my family on my dad's side in Illinois. To be honest last year was a big blur to me, there was a lot going on and I was on busy girl.

Moving on to this year...

January, Nate was suppose to go on a work trip. He was scheduled to leave the day before out anniversary... sucks! We'll they ended up cancelling that and we didn't do anything for our 3 years of marriage. Grr, life as a military spouse! Well to make up for it we decided to plan a week long trip to Paris, France for Valentine's Day and our late anniversary! I also talked Nate into getting me a pet also since I had been begging him to get me a dog well pretty much forever :P but no doggies cause we live in an itty bitty apartment... soo I got a rabbit! He is such a little stinker too, lol, he's a gray dwarf lionhead with a big personality. Oh and Paris was amazing :D

This year we have also been taking about having a baby. Since this would be our first kiddo we have been trying to plan it out... yeah... not working in our favor. Nate got put on a list to deploy in June. Well darn, since he was being deployed I decided to go home, take that makeup class I always wanted to take ( I also went to PhamExpo), and go to my friends wedding. Well after I booked all my tickets, his damn deployment gets cancelled! So we booked him tickets home too and we also went to my cousin's wedding lol. While we were back state side we found out most likely we will be moving back to the states ( Booo! ) for his next duty station.

With a couple of the girls I want to makeup school with

So now we are back from the states and I've been getting things organized and doctors appointments out of the way... Appointments like getting a gel like substance injected into my ankle after a possible ankle surgery. Can I just have an ankle replacement where I will never have to be in pain again please? If someone knows of a procedure let me know! Hopefully no surgery though, MRI tomorrow and in a couple weeks I will know. Once all that is taken care of, then it's on to the baby making :)

Well, I gotta catch some zzz's!
