Welcome!

I created this blog originally to keep friends and family updated with my life away from "home". A place to write down my thoughts and life events, maybe even some beauty blogging who knows!

"The longer I live, the more I realize the inpact of attitude on life. Attitue, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than crcumstances, than failure, than successe, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than apperance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regardunf the attitude we will embrace for that day. we cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes" - Charles R. Swindoll

Day 20

The meaning behind your blog name.

the meaning behind my blog name huh. Well gee this goes way back to possibly grade school or junior high school-ish, haha. I got the nick name Nonnie I think when I was in grade school only a few people close to me called that and it stuck cause that's my my 10 year old neice calls me all  the time. Well then between junior high and high school it progressed to Jaynonnie and a few different other ones, but since Nonnie was heard so much they just stuck Jay infront of it lol. So it's pretty much Jaynon but with -nie at the end, Jaynonnie! So the meaning behing it is it's just a childhood name that stuck with me.

old memories & nicknames ♥ your, Jaynonnie

Day 19

Favorite book

My favorite book... Oh gee this is a hard one cause I've read a few books, but I don't have a favorite yet. Right now I've been reading two different series one is by Michael Scott and the other is by Kelley Armstrong.

The ones by Michael Scott are called the Secrets of the Imortal Nicholas Famel which I finished reading the fourth book a few weeks ago. It left me with a cliff hanger lol too bad I bought all the books in paperback so now I have to wait the the fifth comes out in a paperback, LAME. Lol oh well what do you do right?

Here is first of the series.
If you want more on Michael Scott here is is website

The next series is Kelley Armstrong. This one is called the Darkest Powers, this one has been pretty good so far. I bought the third book and I haven't red it yet since I've been a little busy, but I will get to it again.
First book from the series.

Rain :)

So today has been a pretty good day so far. I needed the car this moring and dropped off my love at work this morning and on my way back I heard a really catch song called "Rain" never heared it before and now I've listened to it on YouTube like 10 times already today! Haha oh dear what to do with myself. But yes, here is the song! The artis's name is  Mika and if I'm correct he's from England.

Anyway, I make a breakfast burrito filling for the spouse group I joined when I got here for our burrito sales to help fund our group to do free luches or treats for the airman that are in the squandrons our husbands are in. Which by the way I found out this last weekend that I am now going to be taking in the role of Vice President for the group and slowly take over as President by June or July! So I'm a little nurvios and excited because now I'll have something to do but it's a lot of responsabilty. I can't wait to get this group more in order and get it really rolling :) it's gonna be fun.

Other than that so far nothing else has been going on. I guess I should log onto my college website and see what other assinments are up for this week, becuase there always is. But I don't feel like I'm done blogging yet :P

On another note... I've been reading a lot of upsetting things written about people to ruin those lives out of spite. I don't understand when an adult feels like they should act like they are in school go get back at another person is right. It's not going to get you anywhere in life, it's not going to get what you want, it just doesn't do anything for you except make you look like a horrible person. There is so much hate in this world I don't understand why people aim to hurt others, weather it be a strager, family, friends, a person you don't like.  Even if someone points somthing out about yourself that you don't want to hear but know it's true, people can't take it in and make themselves a better person by realizing maybe I shouldn't do that, I should do this insead... but because people are so corrupted they lash out wanting to hurt the person that pointed out thier flaws. This is just one thing I could go on and on and on but I don't I think I should stop before I get worked up and make this blong insanely long. But yeah my point is why can't people turn the other cheek and grin and bare it instead of retaliate? Guess that's how things work because this isn't a perfect world.

Day 18

Something you crave a lot.

Hmmm... something I crave a lot would have to be... Crown Burger or lately since there is not a Crown Burger in Italy Marcos haha! I don't get it a lot because first off I'm trying to lose a few pounds and second the gyros are packed full of yummy goodness of grease! But oh man it's soooo delicious! Aw. now I just made myself want a gyro platter from Marcos... Oh and did I mention hummas and french fries are freaking amazing! Marcos was the first place where I had it with my gyro too. They don't do that back in the states that I know of, but my point is Marcos = Best Gyros EVER!!!

Day 17

Oh geezes haha my family is complicated because they are a mixtuer of family and friends that I hold close to me. Some I don't talk to as much as I should and one (which some of you already know who it is) I'm in a fued with and I've somewhat disowned her for her actions. So these are pictuers of some of my family :) enjoy!

Day 16

Your celebrity crush.

Oh dear lol I have two actually. Haha and they are total opposites! They are Matthew Gray Gubler and John Cena :P

I'm gonna start with Matthew Gray Gubler. He is the hottie nerd guy from Criminal Minds, oh how I love that show BTW. You would think I would go for Shamar Moore but he kinda reminds me of my brother and yeah no. Matthew kinda reminds me of my husband acctually! Haha they somewhat have somethings in common :P for example they are both big dorks and handsome! Also the character that Matthew plays on Criminal Minds, he plays a phycologist that has a vast ammount of knowledge and so does my love. So I told my husband if he dies, I'm going after this guy to be my second husband. Haha like I'd stand a chance right?

Matthew Gray Gubler
Now to John Cena... my husband hates that I like this guy. For some reason he thinks that's that I want him to look like, which I don't cause my love is sexy the way he is. John Cena is just my eye candy lol. If you don't know who John Cena is, he is one of the guys for WWF. He's made a couple movies too one is called "The Marine" it was a pretty good movie, or at least to me anyway. But yeah, there's not much to say except that John is my eye candy and that's about it haha.

John Cena
So thoes are my celeb crushes... In reality, I wouldn't change the man I'm with now. He is my everything and I love him to death! He does a lot for me from taking care of me in many different ways, making me laugh, and being a silly dork are just a few of the things he does for me. I love you Nathan!

Day 15

Something you don't leave the house without.

Something I don't leave the house without is my purse and my cell phone! I feel super naked without my purse because I've just always have my purse with me where ever I go. It just feels akward not having my big huge bag with me. I put everything in there, my hubby calls it "the black hole" haha. I have pretty much anything I might need; medicen, lotion, makeup, pen, paper, tide stick, monkey balm, hand sanitizer, wallet, phone... these are just some of the things that I keep in there!

As for my cell phone, it's not as important as my purse but I do have it with me always too. What if someone needs to get a hold of me or there is an emergency? Or just anything really it just kinda makes me feel better that if I need a ride or there is danger lurking around the corner I can call for help or if someone needs me or there is something important that I need to know right away that I have my phone with me.

One Month Already!

It's been just a little over a month since I moved to Italy! When we first got here I thought I was gonna die because of my allergies, and I'm now just at the end of my coughing fits. I was beginning to think that I needed more help with my allergies because of how my dad has cronic allergies and asthma. I ended up going to the doctors and got a whole new allergy medicen set up. I was really sceptical at first but it's been slowly working.

Anyway enough of my health, when we first got here it was a bit nuts. We were getting Nate's work stuff done, breifing classes about the area, driving, and culture, finding a home to live in. We got lucky though, we didn't really have to look for a house because it found us the first weekend we got here! Haha, we were actually on a mission to get gealato when I looked over and saw a shop the sold blow dryers (I had to buy a new one because mine would of blown the transformer out) and the owner started asking us how long we've been here and it led up to if we had a place yet because he had just put an appartment up on the website! He took us to go look and I immeditly said "YES!" So we are now living here just waiting for our home things to get here, which hopefully it all should be here this week or next week!

Back to the first week we got here we had to sit in classes and what not about Italy, and since we alreay found a house we had a free day. Well we got lucky again and our car got in that day and we spent the day doing paperwork and what not for our car! That ment we didn't have to have our sponor to dive us around! We were really excited, except the fact that we were going on a tour the next day to see the town around us and go to a local winery for wine tasting. So we got a ride with our sponsor for that day. We had to because here in Italy you are not allowed what so ever to drink and drive otherwise there are major consiquinses (getting your car taken away with lincese and you cannot get it back). So the percent that you are able in your body is 0.02 percent! Which is good because it makes you responsable... maybe they should bring this back to the states...

But yes, so far everything has been pretty good here. I don't want to say we live in a city because even the nearest city is not a city. I would say more of a large village and the city that we live in a a small kind of farm town. It's really cute we have cows and sheep a couple blocks over and then vinyards everywhere! It's really not what I expected here. there is no 24 hour Walmart and when there is an Italian holiday everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) shuts down. They also have something here called "riposo" (rest) that happends between noon and 3pm here where they will close shop and have a few hour lunch/nap break during the week day. You you pretty much have to plan everything around all this and even holidays. For example, I didn't know it was a holiday and the commasay and bx was closed on base! I was sitting there at the entrance going "WTF?!" Haha but this is Italy and I have to follow and respect thier customs even if I don't agree with them. Oh and it seems like thier favorite word here is "domani" meaning tomorrow. Oh gosh, don't get me started, but there is a saying here which is "why do today what you can do tomorrow" haha I guess being an American, I like things fast and efficent... well you're not gonna get that here that's for sure!

Haha, so far this has been a pretty interesting adjustment in my life. I'm starting to learn more Italian because we have the nicest lady that lives in the appartment underneath us who had been saying hi and making small conversations with us in Italian and we know so little we feel bad because half the time we have no idea what she is saying! Haha oh dear, thank God for dictionarys and phone translators and knowing some spanish to get by somewhat! Oh and the food here is amazing! Some how I've been here for a month and have not tried spagetti and meat sauce yet, but I've tried other pasta... I need to do that next time I go out but anyway oh the food! It is sooo yummy and the pizza and deserts... I need to start watching my waist because I need to lose weight not gain it! Well till the next time.

Your fresh pasta eating friend, Jaynon

Day 14

A TV show you're currently addicted to.

I'm curently addited to Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars... unfortunetly I can't watch new episodes here in Italy because they have blocked the online sites to my region :( boooo!!! Haha so now I have to wait for the seasons to come out on dvd box sets or download them. Sucks for be but that's how it has to go.

Since those two shows are blocked here I have been getting into my crime shows again! So I've been watching Shark, CSI, NCIS, Law and Order, Bones, Criminal Minds and Medium. Yeah... and it kinda sucks because they are mostly re-runs... Oh well atlease I'm entertained right?
